i cant wait to look at the mold on the slim that we made the other day.
[Reply]
Hello Julia,
Yes… we’ll get the microscopes out for a look at the mould that has grown on our gooy goo. Fungi is another word for this type of mould and should look a little like green mushrooms under the microscope.

Well done Julia. Your project was fabulous. I think you worked really well and your presentation using slide show was excellent.

Hey it’s Melissa
Just checking in. I’ve been looking at your blog a lot lately and have noticed different things. It’s changed a lot, I like it.
Grade 6 is busy and a challenge as per usual. We are playing our first inter-school sports match this Friday so wish us luck. I hope all is well and I will hopfully talk to you at school soon.
I would like you to know and not forget that I have some memories from being in your class that I will keep in my life forever, and this probably goes for a lot of other people you have taught as well.

Melissa,
Your comment is most certainly appreciated. I’m sure that as you travel through life’s experiences, you’ll find a rich pool to stimulate your interests and enthusiasm. From this, I am sure you will achieve wonderful things. Needless to say, it was a pleasure for me to have taught you.
The ‘thing’ I love about this idea of blogging is that connection… I enjoy hearing from my ex-students. In terms of keeping up to-date, good luck for Friday’s match. Let me know how it went.
Regards,
AR

Hello Kaylah… Kay,
It’s good to hear from you and know that your new school is going well for you. Yes, the blog has taken a new direction. This year, Inside 5AR will be a single blog for all students to post their work and comments. Pupils wont have their own blog/s this year… it was too difficult to maintain so many individual blogs.
I glad that you’ve got your friends to visit also. Keep tuned-in Kay, we’ll be posting more items shortly. So, keep the comments coming.

Regards,
AR

Hi Cleo,
Have you tried some of our site links. Some the educational sites have terrific games also. In the meantime, I’ll try to produce a page that has some games and or links that would suit our grade 5 students or pop a couple of newer games into our sidebars.
Hopefully you come here to read this…
Thanks for your comments
Give us a little time to do this and then perhaps you could let me know what you think. Thanks again for your comments.

Hi 5AR,
Just having a look at your fantastic blog. I loved the senses poems. One of them made me want to curl up under a blanket and drink some hot chocolate. Really emotive. Or maybe the right word is sensory.
Regards,
Mrs S (2JS)
[Reply]
Hello Mrs S,
Hot chocolate, warm blankets and cold nights… perfect
5AR will be adding some more senses poems as soon as our report writing time is over… phew. So, please visit again soon. Thanks for your comment too. If Melissa reads your post she’ll be so happy (author of hot chocolate poem).
Cheers,

Hello there Kyri,

Okay, I hear your words
For now, we need to get rolling on our animation but let’s try a quick science activity. All you need to do is remind me back at school. I’ve got one or two ideas. So, see you back in 5AR.

Emma,

Starting your own blog is easy enough but you really need to check with your parents first. Mum and Dad need to know how blogs work especially where cyber-safety is concerned. Please don’t try the blog without your parents’ consent. If you need any help, get your mum or dad to see me. I’d be more than happy to discuss this with them (if I can find the time).

No probs Kyri… blogging is about global visitors; like the world at your fingertips so let’s get some of your work up and invite your parents to view it and leave a comment also.

See back at class in Inside 5AR.
